Terms of Use
Last updated October 4, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Theorics for your use of the Care app and this website. By using Care you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Care.
1. What Care is
Care is an educational tool. It takes a health question you describe and returns explanations written by a large language model, each from the angle of one medical field or basic science, followed by a summary that ties them together. It is not a medical service, not a diagnosis, not a treatment, and not a regulated medical device. Using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. See the medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and using Care for yourself. Do not use it to make decisions about another person’s health, and do not use it in a professional or clinical capacity.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use Care in an emergency. Call your local emergency number instead.
- Do not submit another person’s identifiable health information.
- Do not attempt to extract, resell, or rebuild the underlying model, and do not use the app as a general-purpose model proxy.
- Do not attack the service: no scraping, no automated flooding, no circumventing the rate limits, no probing for vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Do not use Care in any way that breaks the law where you are.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or block access that we reasonably believe breaches this section.
4. Generated content
Answers are produced by a model in response to your input. They are not reviewed by a clinician and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or internally inconsistent. You are responsible for how you use them. Theorics does not claim ownership of the text you type or of the answers returned to you, and grants you no exclusivity over either.
5. Availability
Care is provided as is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. It depends on third-party model providers, and their outages are ours.
6. Price
Version 1.0 of Care is free and carries no in-app purchase or subscription. If that changes, the terms and the App Store listing will say so before you are asked to pay anything.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Care is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that any answer is correct, complete, current, or suitable for your situation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Theorics is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any harm arising from a decision you made about your health on the basis of Care. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Theorics against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of Care.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use Care after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
12. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Care. To the extent the standard Apple end user licence agreement applies to your download, these terms apply in addition to it, and where the two conflict on a point Apple requires, Apple’s terms prevail.
